"It just exploded instantly – ran from my temple down to the back of my skull," the Poison singer/reality star tells Oprah Winfrey of the subarachnoid hemorrhage he suffered last month.
But the 47-year-old Michaels says in the interview airing Wednesday that despite the scare, he was still going to wear his signature bandana, even as he lay in the hospital bed.
"I said, 'If I'm going out, I want to go out rockin','" he recalls.
Now recovering, Michaels plans to return to the stage in Biloxi, Miss., on May 28. He also hopes to appear on the May 23 live season final of Celebrity Apprentice, where he is still vying for the title and a $250,000 prize for his charity.
