She went from '80s Brat Pack bit player to '90s leading lady, and from Mrs. Willis to Mrs. Kutcher. Now, Demi Moore could be an author.

Moore, 47, has met with publishers in New York, her agent, Luke Janklow, tells the Associated Press. No prospective title or other details have been reported.

But don't place your Amazon order just yet. "Demi has met with some publishers for a book idea but it is not a memoir, and there is no deal in place nor has Demi committed fully," says the star's rep.

Even before she was famous, Moore led an unconventional life. A self-described "trailer-park kid," she moved at least 30 times by the age of 14, dropped out of high school at 16 and married rocker Freddy Moore at 18.

She and Moore divorced, St. Elmo's Fire made her a star, and she was briefly engaged to Emilio Estevez before marrying Bruce Willis in 1987. They had three daughters before splitting in 1998. She married Ashton Kutcher, 16 years her junior, in 2005.

Moore's movie work has included Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. In 1991, she caused a stir by posing naked on the cover of Vanity Fair while seven months pregnant with daughter Scout.
