After calling her finacé a bridezilla and joking they were going to have a clothing-optional wedding, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are breaking tradition yet again – by not drawing up a wedding registry.

"Given that Katy and I both have good jobs, we don't want any presents," Brand, 34, told PEOPLE at last week's premiere of his latest film, Get Him to the Greek, in Los Angeles. "It would be a massive indulgence."

That doesn't mean the couple couldn't use a few things. And Brand's Greek costars have a few great suggestions.

"I say you got to invest in the good sheets and towels," says newlywed Elisabeth Moss. "It's your only chance to get the really good, top-notch sheets and duvet covers. Those are things you don't buy for yourself."

Get Him to the Greek writer Nicholas Stoller says Perry, 25, and Brand should also get kitchen essentials. "I would say a waffle maker [and] an espresso machine," he told PEOPLE – and invest in some high-end hair tools like "a really fancy hair dryer."

Brand's costar, Kali Hawk, couldn't agree more. "[I'd say] diamond, platinum, titanium-encrusted flat irons. And skinny jeans," she says. "Someone's got to flatten and curl their hair and keep the pants nice and skinny."

Jokes aside, Moss believes the only thing the couple really needs for their new life together is good communication. "They seem to have a pretty honest communication. I don't doubt it," she says. "They're great."
