"We always try to keep it special and make sure you don't fall on your routine," the San Antonio Spurs star, 28, tells PEOPLE of his relationship with his Desperate Housewives actress wife, 35. "We love going to the movies and going to restaurants. We love trying different restaurants and different kinds of food."
One area where the couple are non-experimental? Personal grooming. Though that's not for lack of trying on Eva's part, who's always been interested in helping her husband shave.
"She always wanted to do that," says Parker, who was judging the Gillette Fusion ProGlide "Ultimate Summer Job" Contest in Manhattan on Tuesday. "But no, I shave myself. She's always like, 'Let me try.' But I'm like, 'No.' "
Is she worried she might cut him accidentally? "Yes," he says with a laugh.
