Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi met for a follow-up Bachelor interview on Wednesday night, the first time they'd seen each other since they announced what is shaping up to be a bitter split.
Pavelka had just broken up with his fiancé by telephone amid doubts about whether he could trust her anymore, and when they got together, the Internet lit up with rumors things got violently out of hand.
"The atmosphere was emotionally charged," producers acknowledge in a statement. "However, and contrary to reports that have surfaced about the interview, at no time was anyone ever physically in harm’s way, nor was anyone ever threatened with physical violence.”
The interview will air July 5 on ABC.
