Kellie Pickler may have gotten engaged this week, but she was spreading the word – and the love – for Kyle Jacobs well before he popped the question.
At the CMA Music Festival in early June, PEOPLE asked for her pick as country's hottest guy. No surprise – she chose the fellow she calls the "unknown songwriter."
"Romantic dinner date with my love. time to cuddle now. I'm the luckiest girl in the world," Pickler Tweeted just days before her engagement – which Jacobs arranged to take place on a Florida beach.
And for fans wondering just how the proposal went down, Jacobs provided his Twitter followers a Cliff Notes version: "It went like this ..."Kellie, will you marry me?" Kellie said, "Yes." I said, "Really?" Kellie said, "YES REALLY!"... Thank you Jesus!"
