It was just a bit of horseplay – until Prince Harry found himself flying through the air and landing with a thud on the Governor's Island turf.

The prince's royal visit to New York this weekend was full of the usual pomp and circumstance, until he was unceremoniously thrown from his horse during the charity Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Sunday.

The prince, 25, was not injured, bruising only his pride, and was quickly back in the saddle. He lost the match against the world's best-known polo player, Argentina's Nacho Figueras, but scored three goals and won support for 400,000 children in the AIDS-ravaged African nation of Lesotho.

Harry escaped injury during a more serious tumble in Barbados in January. But his father, Prince Charles, hasn't always been so lucky. Charles broke his right arm badly in a fall in 1990 and was knocked unconscious in a fall in 2001.
