The rocker, 49, was taken into custody at Clark County Detention Center where he was booked.
Police initially pulled Neil over after a woman told authorities he allegedly grabbed her camera and broke it after she took his picture Sunday night, TMZ reports.
This is not the singer's first run-in with the law: In 1984 he pleaded guilty to DUI and vehicular manslaughter in the death of musician Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley.
Neil's rep was not immediately available for comment.
