The actor was dirt-bike riding with friends last Tuesday when he crashed and punctured his lung. Wife Tori Spelling, 37, and their two children, Stella, 2, and Liam, 3, visited McDermott at the hospital last week as he transferred out of the intensive care unit.
McDermott, 43, who fractured his shoulder earlier this year in another motorcycle accident, "will be doing rehab for a while," he Tweeted. "I messed a few things up when I crashed."
