Joey Fatone: Daddy's Girls

It's feeding time for 6-month-old Kloey Fatone, and dad Joey confidently opens a jar of baby food. "I feed her all the time," he says proudly. "I'm really good at this." But the bragging ends as strained carrots fly everywhere. "Geez, Kloey," the former 'N Sync star, 33, sighs as he reaches for a washcloth. "How'd you get it in your eye?"

It's a domestic scene that was almost unimaginable last August when Joey's wife, Kelly, then 20 weeks pregnant, was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that resulted in chronic fatigue. The doctor prescribed total bed rest, leaving Joey to take care of older daughter Briahna, 9. "I'd drive her to school and come home and take care of Kelly," he recalls. "It was really tough on all of us. There were times that I'd just sit in my car and cry."

But the tears turned to laughter after Kelly, 33, went into labor on Jan. 11. "I'm taping the delivery, you know, wrapped up in the miracle of life," says Fatone, "and suddenly Kelly starts swearing because the epidural didn't work. So we both started to laugh. We're going to have some explaining to do someday when Kloey watches the tape."

After a healthy delivery-and a full recovery for Kelly-the Fatones say their family is complete. "This shop is closed for business," Kelly laughs. "No more babies." Wouldn't Joey like to have a boy too? "I'm outnumbered-I'm surrounded by girls," he laments. "But I wouldn't have it any other way."
