"I said to her, 'This will be the first of many breakups,' " Sharon, 57, told PEOPLE after Wednesday's episode of America's Got Talent. "It's what we all go through. I don't know any of my girlfriends who have never had their heart broken and end up with the first guy. I don't know anyone that has happened to."
It might feel like the world is ending, says Sharon, but of course it doesn't. "Unfortunately for her, she's going to have her heart broken," Sharon says. "You pick yourself up, and you start again. She's very, very sad right now, but she'll get over it. We all do."
And of course, Sharon says she and husband Ozzy are there for Kelly throughout her ordeal. "At the end of the day, she's learned a lot, and she can still pick up the phone to us," Sharon says. "We've not gone anywhere. We're there."
Kelly, 25, and Worrall, 20, got engaged in November 2008.
On Wednesday, Kelly Tweeted: "Thank you all so much for your support but the matter is private and [I] will not be commenting. Enough damage has already [been] done!"
