What might sound like a lazy summer weekend itinerary is actually the order of the day for incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne.
The platinum selling artist, who began serving a yearlong jail sentence for gun possession in March, blogged on Wednesday that he's doing well behind bars.
"Hello world . . . I'm good. Counting the days and still smiling," he wrote on his blog (which also features a countdown clock for his release).
As for his daily routine, "I know that people are inquisitive of what I do all day, so here goes," he wrote. "I wake up around 11 a.m. Have some coffee. Call my kids, and my wonderful mother. I then shower up. Read fan mail. Have lunch."
"Back on the phone," he continues. "Read a book or write some thoughts down. Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. Then I listen to ESPN on the radio. Read the bible, then sleep. That's my day."
Fans may be hearing more soon, in his music.
"The lyrics that I'm writing are . . . well there's no word that I can think of that properly defines them. Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair."
Wayne also thanks his fans for writing to him, raving, "I have the best fans in the world! The devotion, dedication, support, love, and most of all, prayers are simply the best."
And it seems he's even finding time to watch TV in the common room.
Notes the rapper at the end of his entry: "Oh, and how 'bout dem Lakers!?!"
See, Lindsay? Maybe jail won’t be that bad!
