With only two days until Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky tie the knot, the bride-to-be isn't the only excited one.

Ed Mezvinsky, 73, Clinton's future father-in-law and former U.S. congressman, is looking forward to Saturday's big event and was spotted getting a haircut in Rhinebeck, N.Y., where the affair will take place at the Astor Courts estate.

"These are two wonderful human beings that have sensitivity about life and have a warm regard for family, and that's what it's all about," the former Iowa Rep. tells the New York Post.

Mezvinsky, who has a criminal record after pleading guilty to 31 counts of fraud in 2001, says he has rebuilt his relationship with his son and the Clinton family after his 2008 release from federal prison.

"I'm remorseful for what happened," Mezvinsky says. "It was a terrible time, and I was punished for that. And I respect that and accept responsibility for what happened, and now I'm trying to move on and am grateful I have the opportunity for that."

The wedding will be an elegant affair – and guests are expected to plan accordingly. Those invited to the rehearsal dinner are being asked to wear "country chic or cocktail apparel," reports New York's Daily News.

Adhering to the exclusive nature of Clinton's big day, on Wednesday the Federal Aviation Administration issued a temporary no-fly zone for the area surrounding the Astor Courts estate. Flights will not be allowed below 2,000 feet between 3 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
