What better way to get an uptight Midwestern housewife sliding down the slippery slope to fun than with a tub of butter and Hugh Jackman?
There isn't any, according to Jennifer Garner, 38, who once again takes on the role of an ambitious A-type personality in Laura Pickler, the disillusioned wife of Iowa's best butter carver, in the forthcoming 2011 comedy Butter. The movie takes place in the competitive world of the popular state-fair craft.
"He can do something for her, or will do something for her," Jackman, 41, tells Entertainment Tonight.
Jackman plays Garner's former beau, a prom king who gives up his wife and kids to be with the woman he thinks is the love of his life.
"The moment she turns up on his doorstep, he drops them all and says, 'Thank you, God, this is my second chance,' " the leading man says. "So he's – very briefly – very happy."
