Think of what it must be like to leave high school after 10 years: happy, yet melancholy.

That, at least, were the mixed emotions coming from Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as deduced by Entertainment Weekly earlier this summer, as the acting trio wrapped up the final two Harry Potter adventures.

"I'm ready to kind of move on now, I think," Grint, 21, is quoted as saying in the latest cover story of the magazine, on sale Friday. "This film is a great way to finish the whole era, and it's going to be sad, because obviously all my friends are here, but 10 years is enough."

Shooting a scene in the Room of Requirement in which Harry (Radcliffe), Ron (Grint) and Hermione (Watson) scramble for a horcrux (look it up), crewmembers at Leavesden Studios outside London continually doused the young actors with water.

"It's been this way for weeks," said Watson, 20, warming herself next to a space heater. "I hate to sound whiny, but it's horrible … But, you know, I was told it will look very dramatic when you see the films, so it will be worth it."

Two films were shot simultaneously, both based on author J.K. Rowling's lengthy final volume in the series. The first screen installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I, opens Nov. 19.

"This film has been hard to make, and I've had some of the most trying moments, both physically and mentally, than ever before," said Radcliffe, who turned 21 last month and is Broadway-bound next spring.

"I wasn't entirely thrilled with my performance in Half-Blood [Prince] – I found it quite same-y, and didn't think there was enough variation in it – so I've worked hard to make sure that if the seventh film comes out and I'm still unhappy with it, I'll know it won't be from lack of trying," he said.
