The album, which contains the first single "Mine," is due out Oct. 25 and follows her successful previous release, Fearless.
"These songs are made up of words I didn’t say when the moment was right in front of me. These songs are open letters," Swift, 20, has said of the album's 14 tracks. "Each is written with a specific person in mind, telling them what I meant to tell them in person."
Swift will treat fans to a sneak peak of Speak Now when she performs "Mine" on the CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock TV special, which airs Sept. 1 at 8 p.m on ABC.
