Goodbye Bristol, Hello Hollywood
LEVI'S NEXT MOVES
Just days after Bristol Palin told PEOPLE she had broken up (again) with Levi Johnston, he walked the red carpet of the Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 8-with another woman. "The ring's off, but we're friends, so everything's good," Johnston, 20, told PEOPLE. He'd been spotted twice in two days with a new "friend," Brittani Senser, a 26-year-old singer who cast Johnston in the music video for her song "After Love." Senser says the two met "just recently . . . through my record label," adding that the video is "absolutely fabulous!" In one scene he reportedly mocks Sarah Palin, a reason why Bristol, 19, called their relationship quits. Johnston, who posed for Playgirl last year, is clearly hungry for more time in front of the camera. His team is selling a reality show, to be shot in Los Angeles and Alaska, where Johnston tries to get elected the next mayor of Wasilla. Is he even old enough to do that? "By 2012 he'll be 21," says his manager Tank Jones. "He might run for one of the council seats first."
How did Naomi Campbell, 40, unwind after telling the Hague war-crimes trial of former Liberian president Charles Taylor that she accepted a pouch of "dirty-looking stones" in 1997? She jetted to Sardinia for a lavish birthday party thrown by a swiss jeweler. Her fellow revelers included Kevin Spacey, Janet Jackson and Leonardo DiCaprio. After making Blood Diamond, DiCaprio, 35, wasn't shy about his opinion on conflict diamonds. "These diamonds have funded warlords and caused civil strife in Africa," he said in 2006.
REESE TO REMARRY?
Reese Witherspoon's agent beau of nearly seven months, Jim Toth, may have earned brownie points for attending Easter service with the actress and her kids, but are the lovebirds already headed to the altar? One tabloid claims the couple are headed back to church for premarital counseling "to see if they're compatible lifelong partners." "Not true. Period," says her rep. Adds a source close to the pair: "They're both happy with the way things are right now."
Would you read Justin Bieber's book?
Justin Bieber, 16, has topped the pop charts, and now the teen sensation is ready to conquer the literary world with his first book, Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story, due out in October.
18% YES, IT'LL BE A QUICK READ
82% NO, I'LL PASS
(NOT SO FAST, SAYS SEAN PENN)
The same day that musician Wyclef Jean, 37, launched his campaign to be Haiti's next president, actor Sean Penn criticized the Grammy winner's candidacy, expressing his concerns on Larry King Live Aug. 5 about alleged mishandling of donations by Jean's Yéle Haiti charity. Penn claimed that Jean "has been a non-presence" in the nation, where Penn himself has spent five months since the Jan. 12 earthquake. Jean has repeatedly denied any financial improprieties. "I've been going to Haiti for over five years," he told Gayle King. "I am not absent in Haiti." So why is the former Fugee trading singing for stumping? "The corruption that's been going on for the past 200 years," he tells Scoop. He expects criticism: "Politics is a combat sport."
LINDSAY IN TREATMENT
She spent only 13 days in jail, but now Lindsay Lohan is settling in for a court-ordered three-month stint at UCLA's Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. Despite the improved conditions, Lohan, 24, must still face life without texting and tweeting and with only limited calls by pay phone. The only visitors seen so far are family: mother Dina, 47, and sister Ali, 16. How's she holding up? "She has a lot of anxiety," says a source. "Being there for 90 days is scary to her."
ALI AND ROBERTO
FREE TO FLAUNT THEIR LOVE!
Five days after The Bachelorette finale, newly engaged Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez took the next step: setting up house together in San Diego. Their new one-bedroom apartment is close to the beach and hiking trails, but what it lacks is a built-in mediator. "I like it warm and he likes it colder. And I have so many clothes," Ali tells Scoop. "I have like three inches of closet space," Roberto playfully groans. Trouble in paradise? Hardly. "It would take a lot more than that," Roberto says.
"I would never wish my upbringing on anyone . . . but I wouldn't take it back for the world."

MACHO, MACHO MEN ... OR ARE THEY?
These tough guys play commandos with lethal fighting skills in the action movie The Expendables. But this is a brawny band with a soft side, as they reveal to Scoop.
"I paint, I sculpt and I write."
"I won the Fulbright scholarship as a chemical engineer."
Suited up in Speedos as an Olympic diver.
"I have mastered the jazz flute. I love it."
"I'm a big teddy bear. I've taken art classes and done poetry."
"I shed a tear during The Notebook."
SEE CHICAGO ROCK!
The music festival Lollapalooza brought Hollywood to the Windy City for three days. Lady Gaga surprised concertgoers during Semi Precious Weapons' set. A mustache-rockin' David Arquette took a break from filming Scream 4 and caught the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros show with costar Hayden Panettiere. They danced up a storm backstage along with Gossip Girl couple Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr. Arquette later stopped by the Carerra Escape at the Hard Rock Music Lounge to get tatted (with a skull smoking a cigar and daughter Coco's birth date), while another Scream costar, Neve Campbell, dined at HUB 51.
BIG C'S BIG NIGHT
Laura Linney kicked off her return to TV in a big way at the Cinema Society screening of Showtime's The Big C on Aug. 7 at the East Hampton home of designer Donna Karan. Linney, with husband Marc Schauer by her side, was reunited with her You Can Count on Me costar Mark Ruffalo, a surprise guest. Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick cuddled under the stars at the SKYY-sponsored evening.
