They've been a Beverly Hills fixture for years. Their father Robert Kardashian was a prominent Beverly Hills attorney. And their E! Network reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians helps keep alive Beverly Hills's fabled reputation for fun in the sun.

But, wait: There's more. On Sept. 2, the Kardashian-Jenner family will receive the Key to the City of Beverly Hills from Mayor Jamshid "Jimmy" Delshad at the Taste of Beverly Hills wine and food festival.

Slated to accept the token of the town's esteem will be Kris, Bruce, Kourtney, Kim, Rob, Kylie and Kendall, though Khloe will be at a prior commitment.

"We grew up here and now live here," Kim, 29, tells PEOPLE. "It's really come full circle … What an honor. It's the key to Beverly Hills!"

Next week's event will feature live performances by Natasha Bedingfield, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr., as attendees enjoy the work of such culinary masters as Wolfgang Puck, Michael Voltaggio (Top Chef) and Ludo Lefebvre (Ludo Bites).

Not that the Kardashian clan will have the key to the city all to themselves. Also to be granted the honor: retiring CNN interviewer (and breakfast fixture at Beverly Hills' Nate 'n' Al's deli), Larry King.
