Still sporting her magenta dress from earlier in the day, the singer and her friends enjoyed cocktails during their lengthy hangout session before Simpson took off, giggling, around 8 p.m.
• Meanwhile, newlyweds Emily Blunt and John Krasinski were enjoying dinner on the patio at the Chateau, one of their favorite L.A. haunts. "They were super cute together," an onlooker says. Later in the evening, the duo raced over to the garden to greet Benicio del Toro.
• Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle, taking in the Tom Petty concert at New York's Hudson Terrace with brother Joe. The couple cuddled in a cabana, while Joe worked the room, mingling and snapping photos with fans.
• New York Housewife Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen, sampling Tao's chilled vegetable Lo Mein and mingling with the crowd at the BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis party at New York's W Hotel.
• Michael Strahan and wife Nicole Murphy-Strahan, toasting Hayden Panettiere, who was celebrating her 21st birthday at Polar Lounge inside New York's Marcel at Gramercy Hotel. After drinks, the couple took the party to the dancefloor.
