"I'm enjoying an extended honeymoon with my wife, Erin, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico," he tells PEOPLE. "Being married, I don't know how to describe it. It's very comfortable when you find the right person. It all comes together beautifully."
The date, however, didn't escape Ziering, 46, who first met his Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates at Aaron Spelling's house in April 1990.
"About six or seven months ago, I had my entire cast together," he says. "I wanted to put together a reunion special to run on this day and the CW dropped the ball."
"There are so many fans out there," says Ziering, who still acts and is producer and host of a reality show in development about marriage proposals. "I thought it would be nice."
Ziering stays in touch with all of his 90210 colleagues and says he's proud to be part of something that has had such a global impact.
"It is very flattering that [the CW] resurrected the show," he says. "And to know it is still on TV in most countries in the world is incredible to think about."
