Michael Douglas isn't alone.

The Tinseltown veteran, who recently revealed he'd been diagnosed with throat cancer and sent a defiant message about his chances, is lifting up the hopes of Marcia Cross, whose husband Tom Mahoney received his own cancer diagnosis last year.

"I look at Michael Douglas, who is about to undergo the same thing and that makes me have great hope for him and know that he can make it," the Desperate Housewives star, 48, tells Access Hollywood. "It's a tough road, but it is beatable."

As for Mahoney, things are also looking rosy.

Says Cross from the set of her ABC series, "He's great, he's 100 percent right now, he's fantastic."
