The Jersey Shore star, 29, has mastered one Dancing ballroom requirement: He and his six-pack abs are already well-tanned. Beyond that, "I have very little dance experience, but I have a lot of heart and I love to compete," he says. "I believe I've got a shot and that's all I need."

THE HOFF

DAVID HASSELHOFF

The actor, 58, signed on at his two daughters' urging. "They said, 'You can move well.' I can move if I'm having fun," he says. "In the end it's a challenge, but I'm already having a blast." Just don't expect the former Baywatch star to take off his shirt next to the Situation: "I had 20 years to show off my abs. Those days are over."

THE QUEEN OF THE HILLS

As a kid, she and her sisters weren't allowed to watch the film Dirty Dancing. Now 25, the Hills alum "didn't hesitate" at the chance to compete alongside the movie's star, Jennifer Grey. To keep up her energy, the former high school swimmer has "been eating a lot of carbs. I know the hours are long."

THE SUAVE BALLADEER

He's belted out hit songs for decades, but can he finesse a fox-trot? "It is very hard work," Bolton admits after less than a week of dance rehearsals. "I tell you, every muscle is speaking to me." Even more difficult for the 57-year-old? "Giving up golf. I had to put the clubs away. I made the commitment to the show."

THE FORMER TEEN STAR

BRANDY NORWOOD

All grown up, the singer, 31, is confident when it comes to balancing work and raising her 8-year-old daughter. But when it comes to dancing, "I'm nervous," says Norwood, who plans to channel Jennifer Lopez by salsa dancing in a sexy outfit. "It helps you perform better when you feel like you're looking hot."

THE MOTHER FIGURE

FLORENCE HENDERSON

At 76, Henderson is season 11's oldest competitor, but that won't deter her. "I would love to make people my age think, 'Wow, if she can do it, I can do it!' " Four decades after playing sunny mom Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, she's excited to show America her darker side: "I can't wait to get spray tanned!"

The cast includes Bristol Palin (left), comedian Margaret Cho, retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner, That's So Raven's Kyle Massey, former NBA star Rick Fox and actress Jennifer Grey, who says, "After the year I've had with four surgeries, turning 50 and not having danced since Dirty Dancing 23 years ago, if they don't carry me out on a stretcher, I'm going to be psyched!"
