America's Got Talent
delivered twists and turns on Wednesday's results show, but the biggest surprise of the night was the elimination of dancing duo Future Funk
"It's an exceptional year for the singers," Piers Morgan
tells PEOPLE. "Prince Poppycock
, Michael Grimm
, even Taylor Mathews
– it doesn't surprise me at all that they went through."
Shortly after the show began, electricity wranglers ArcAttack
, creepy magician Dan Sperry
, singer Kristina Young
and Future Funk were sent home in a quadruple elimination that stunned the audience and host Nick Cannon
"I was shocked," Cannon tells PEOPLE. "That's never happened on this show. I thought Future Funk would go through."
Many audience members were in disbelief after Future Funk was sent packing. The partners and best friends from Oxnard, Calif., were given the 'X' by Morgan on Tuesday, but the audience continuously chanted, "Future Funk, Future Funk!"
Despite being sent home, Bailey
, 10, and Miles
, 5, were in terrific spirits after the show, telling PEOPLE they felt like superstars thanks to America's Got Talent
"We're gonna keep on dancing and see what happens," Bailey says, adding that the duo wants their own show after Sharon Osbourne
said they should star in their own sitcom.
The boys, who captured the hearts of America, also have a special talent in addition to their energetic dancing. They tell PEOPLE they love to cook their own recipes called "Funk foods," which include Ramen noodles, rice and beans.
"Future Funk is very young and they can work hard on their act to come back and be better," Morgan says. "They're great fun."
Morgan's choice wildcard act
, dancers Anna and Patryk
, also advanced to the finals. And in a split-decision vote from the judges, singing sisters Christina and Ali
snagged the fifth spot over kite flier Connor Doran
