The Situation has no problems when it comes to the compensation.

One of the breakout stars of MTV's smash hit Jersey Shore, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is busily, and effectively, turning his drama into dollar signs. Between his MTV salary, endorsement deals, his own branded products and other media opportunities, Sorrentino, 29, could earn as much as $5 million by the end of this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The abs-flaunting Sorrentino is raking in close to $60,000 per episode in salary, and between $15,000 and $50,000 per event for appearances. He also has endorsement deals with Vitaminwater, Reebok and an unnamed vodka brand; will front a clothing line with Dilligaf and a line of chewable supplements with GNC; has released his own fitness video; and has partnered with Gotham Books to write his autobiography.

Oh, and he also has a "GTL" app and a rap song on iTunes, and has been in talks regarding several big-screen projects.

It's all part of a carefully orchestrated plan. "We are really excited about all the opportunities coming Mike's way," says his manager, Mike Petolino of Gotham Entertainment. "He has been able to secure many endorsement deals, business opportunities and additional television offers based on the success of the show. Our goal has always been to try to build a brand if the situation presented itself." – Tim Nudd
