I'd like to say I could have done what those girls did. I do have an appetite, and if there is money at the end, I might have surprised even myself. But, truthfully, I probably couldn't have done what Tenley or Gia did. Those girls were amazing. I think everyone was shocked when little Gia won.
When it was the guys' turn, they were all so confident that they could make those pies disappear in no time. Ha! The guys had more trouble than the girls did. The girls devoured their pies. Their faces were just covered with pie. But the guys were all going, "I eat eight meals a day, I can eat a pie!" But they couldn’t. I had a good giggle as they struggled to finish. The Weatherman, the smallest guy in the house, beat out his burly counterparts and earned immunity for the week. Who would have forecasted that?
Oh, and one last little tidbit for you all – after all was said and done, I indulged in a little slice of that pie myself! It was really good … and yes, I did use my hands.
You've heard the contestants talking about the "inside group" and the "outside group." The inside group are the who have been going on the Bachelor/Bachelorette reunions and have already established relationships with each other. And the outsiders are the group of who didn’t go on any of the reunion trips and didn't know anyone from past seasons. The house was pretty divided, and there were definitely rumblings about the "insiders," and whether or not they had an advantage because of their already established relationships.
I was really impressed with Weatherman's strategy going into his date: choosing girls who didn’t have any pacts or romantic connections with anyone else in the house. He swayed them to be a part of his pact and it seemed to work. And when Gia took three guys on her date, she chose strategically as well.
In the end, Gia didn’t completely follow through with her strategy. She promised Craig she'd save him, but after spending time with Wes, she chose to give him the rose instead. That stirred up a ton of drama in the mansion. If she had picked Craig and saved him, the outsiders would have had the advantage and the majority of the house. So they had to go back and re-strategize and re-pick who they wanted to vote out. They chose to get rid of Kiptyn, but when he got wind that his head was on the chopping block, the insiders sprang into action. In the end, it was down to Kiptyn and Craig, and somehow, Kiptyn was able to sway Nikki's vote and keep himself in the game.
There's so much drama, so much scheming … and I love it! I'm really impressed with how everyone is playing the game. I'm happy there's not one major pact that is dominating the house. They are pretty equal and it will be interesting as the numbers dwindle down how they will continue to play the game.
Next week we have the infamous kissing contest, which many of you have already heard about. It was so much fun to watch and I can't wait to talk about it with you all – but not until next week!
