If his fellow Bachelorette
contestants had any doubts, Justin "Rated R" Rego
hopes his next move might quell accusations that he used the show to promote his wrestling career.
"In the next year or so I'm actually looking to be a police officer," he tells ET Canada
in an interview airing Monday. "I'm slowly studying it … that's something I truly am passionate about and I definitely want to get into."
What he doesn't want, despite what others have alleged, is fame.
"No more reality TV," he says, adding that he "definitely" does not want to be the next Bachelor. "This has been such a rough experience, like it's kind of scared me away from doing anything. It's not fun having you're name dragged through the mud."
As for allegations that he had a girlfriend when he joined the show, Rego says he did date the woman in question, Jessica Spillas
, in the past but they weren't in a relationship at that time.
His ex, he says, took care of him when he broke his foot two weeks before the show started taping, and she was simply "somebody that I always wanted in my life cause she's a great person."
"But unfortunately now due to the fact of all this happening and seeing her true nature and true intent I really don’t want to continue any type of relationship with her," says Rego.
Still, he has no regrets about his time in the Bachelorette mansion.
"I absolutely went on the show for the possibility of falling in love," he says. "But you know there's 25 guys in there. And you know it's difficult to say, 'You know what, I'm going to fall head over heels for somebody.' But I was definitely open to that idea."– Eunice OhTell us: Do you believe Justin was there to find love?
