As his hit show Glee continues to pull in big ratings and critical praise, Matthew Morrison has graduated into a full-blown celebrity -- and, well, tabloid-fodder.

So, the actor, 31, wants to clear something up: He's not a cheater and he's not romantically involved with his 23-year-old costar, Lea Michele.

"It's so laughable," Morrison says of the rumors in a new interview with Parade. "There's the one about Lea and myself, and we were literally on set and I got a call from my publicist, and Lea got a call a minute later. And we looked at each other like, 'What the f---?'"

Morrison, who was previously engaged, was also dogged by rumors of infidelity after his ex-fiancee reportedly went to tabloids, saying that she broke off their engagement after suspecting the actor was cheating on her. In fact, Morrison says, the interview never even took place.

"I have a great relationship with my ex," he says. "I feel like I can handle this stuff because I don't really care. I've never gotten into tabloids and I don't really care about it now, but I just feel bad for other in my life who are getting dragged into it. It just kinda sucks."

When those issues come up on screen, though, it's a different story.

In recent episodes, Morrison's character, Will Schuester, has locked lips with several women after becoming estranged from his wife. "I love where he's going now," Morrison says of his character. "He was kind of like the perfect guy before. I like being a real human being now and having faults, making choices and them not always being the right choices."

"He gets himself in a little bit of trouble sometimes now, and it's fun to play flaws," he says. "You don't want to play a perfect person; no one cares about that."

Tell us: Do you like what's going on with Mr. Schuester's character?
