You asked -- and I am answering!

Beth wanted to know about free greens when counting calories. My general rule of thumb is to eat FRESH, FRESH, FRESH! Stay away from processed foods, try to stick to your caloric intake and eat during the day! My favorite free greens are lettuce, spinach, green beans and broccoli.

Brooke has the same problem that I did -- GRAZING at work! Here's how to fight that urge: Keep your water handy! When you want to eat, drink it up instead. If you are still hungry, go for water-based foods. I enjoy celery and you can munch on it all you want. But if you have a sweet tooth, grab some frozen mangoes. You can try to eat them, but if they're cold enough you will have to suck on them and it will take longer to eat! I LOVE THEM =)

Now let's talk about last night's episode: For the first time on The Biggest Loser, the scale was available to the contestants all week. But the challenge was to be the first contestant to loose 2 percent of their body weight. When a contestant thought they had reached the goal, they pushed a button. Just when it looked like Melissa was going to push the button, the lights and sirens went off. It turned out to be Victoria who pushed the button. But she came up short and the game continued. After a hard overnight workout with Koli, Sam pushed the button and won with an impressive loss of 10 lbs. (Four more than he needed!)

While all this was going on, the contestants hit the pool for another challenge. They had to swim across and collect 100 1-lb. weights from the bottom and bring them back to the starting spot. The first one to accomplish this, won two weeks at the Biggest Loser Resort (and I must say from my visit there, this is a great prize to win!). Now the downside of the challenge: If you come in last place you get a 1-lb. disadvantage at weigh-in.

But there was a catch! When a contestant was done with their 100 weights, they had to the option to help a friend. This left room for a little game play. Sunshine was a very good swimmer from the start and was able to beat out Sam for the win. At this point, there were three fighting not to be in last place: O'Neil, Mike and Melissa. Sunshine helped her dad and after the okay from Koli, Sam joined in as well. But no one was helping Melissa and she finished the challenge last.

At weigh-in there were good numbers and bad numbers. The contestants are all very hard on themselves and low numbers can be tough to see. Sometimes there is really no explanation for that, which you could see on the face of trainers Bob and Jillian. After all was said and done, Drea and Melissa fell below the yellow line and had to make their case. After receiving five strait votes, it was time for Melissa to go home.

Apart from all the twists on this episode, we also got a look at O'Neal and Sunshine's deep relationship. In an emotional moment, Sunshine told O'Neal that she was ready to stand on her own two feet for the first time in her life. I am awarding O'Neal the MVP of this episode. It has to be hard for Sunshine to let her father know that she is growing up, but it must be even harder for O'Neal to let her go! PLUS he lost 8 pounds this week. --Tara Costa
