Hi y'all!
As you might have noticed, I've been a little MIA lately. I'm so excited to be coming off the launch of my first bridal collection -- 22 wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses with lots of last-minute running around and perfecting -- Project Runway style!
I'll have pictures to share soon, but for those of you in the NYC area, I'm having a celebration on Monday, April 12th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Michael C. Fina store on Fifth Avenue. The evening's festivities will include a $10,000 giveaway for one lucky bride. That includes one of my gowns, plus Michael C. Fina platinum his/hers wedding bands and Tacori jewels! OK, on to this week's show: This episode was a little nuts. Every time the designers got to work, they were attacked by some dramatic happening! Distracting? You bet! No wonder there were some less than pristine dresses up on the runway.
The challenge this week was to create a red carpet look for Heidi. My favorite by far was Anthony's. His gown was simple -- yet beautiful and interesting. It made you look twice, which is a good thing if you're going to be at an event surrounded by ridiculously beautiful, well dressed ! I'm glad Anthony is back. So nice to have the comic relief.
Emilio's dress was nicely done as well, but no one else's really moved me much. Jonathan clearly reached the end of his rope this week. The front of his dress was so overworked that I just wanted to start pulling things off of it!

Aside from the regular drama, this week Maya left of her own free will. It's hard to say if this was a good decision or not. You only get to see a small portion of what actually occurs during filming, and I can understand not wanting proceed if she isn't sure she's ready to show at Bryant Park. I'm sure a lot of factors went into the decision.
I personally can't wait until next week! I'm dying to know which of the collections I saw at Fashion Week were the real deal!
