When Neil Armstrong first touched down on the moon, he probably had no idea that 40 years later, his historic act would become the butt of a joke involving, well, the awkward touching of behinds. But last night, Modern Family went there, scoring major laughs for an accidental slip of the skin -- aptly called a "moon landing" -- between family patriarch Jay and spunky son-in-law Cameron.
Meanwhile, flighty dad Phil got the idea to don some fake facial hair after noticing his bus stop advertisement (which features his face) had been vandalized with a Tom Selleck-like 'stache. While he earned props from a construction worker, his super-sized "soup strainer," as he called it, wasn't so popular with the family.
And finally, Gloria enlisted Mitchell to help her wade through the legalities of a recent car crash. Though she swore the fender-bender wasn't her fault, the ever-honest Manny ratted her out, and she proved her own statement false when she was involved in a second crash, running her car into the side of a cupcake cafe.
Of course, there were many more "oh no" incidents in last night's episode -- Claire bringing former co-worker Valerie home to a house of crazy kids, Jay unknowingly having multiple moon landings with a stranger -- so we want to know, which moment made you laugh (or cringe!) the most? --Kate Hogan
