Instead of telling the new cast of Project Runway to "make it work," he's telling them to "recalibrate your ambitions." In a clip from the season 7 premiere of Lifetime's design competition show (Jan. 14, 10 p.m. EST), Gunn is making his rounds in the workroom before the first runway show and notices that some of the contestants have bitten off more than they can chew.
In particular, New York-based costume designer Emilio Sosa is way behind on his garment, according to Gunn, who warns him, "We've never had anyone in the whole history of the show just not finish -- ever."
Gunn goes on to say that he's thrilled with their ambition but that he's "seriously worried" about their progress based on the time remaining in the challenge. Will the designers step up before they hit the runway and present their creations to the panel of judges, which includes Nicole Richie?
