Bethenny Frankel ‘In Love’ With New Beau
"I'm in love," Frankel told PEOPLE at the Pepsi Natural Dinner at a large private home in East Hampton on Saturday. "I'm pretty much certain I'm going to spend the rest of my life with him ... I'm really happy."
And Frankel's friends support the match. "He's extremely handsome," one of her pals said at the dinner. "He's supportive, funny, thoughtful, kind. He wants kids. They're both the same age. This could be it."
While Frankel and Hoppy have been dating for eight months, they kept their relationship under the radar for a while. "I didn't want to bring anyone into the fray unless I knew it was the real deal," said Frankel, who met Hoppy at New York City's Tenjune.
"I was getting my picture taken and I had a scowl on my face. He came up and said, 'Are you going to get that stick out of your a--?'" Frankel recalls. "My costar Jill Zarin loves him. For six months we called him 'Tenjune.' He does pharmaceutical sales and real estate. He's very, very athletic, and all-American."
Sparks flew right away, according to Frankel, who admits kissing Hoppy at the club. "He lives on the Upper East Side," she said, ''and he said, 'We're going in the same direction.' And I said, 'I'll give you a ride.' I got out of the car and gave him my card. Evidently he had driven to the club. So he had to say to my driver, 'Dude, take me back to my car, which is at the club. He told me this a couple of months later."
Viewers will likely get to see the couple, whose first date was to sushi restaurant Bond St., on The Real Housewives of New York City. "He'll be on the show. He's totally cool about it, but not gung ho. He's not Speidi," Frankel said. "He's excited for me and everything that's happening for me."
As for the large sapphire and diamond ring Frankel wore on her ring finger of her left hand at the Pepsi Natural Dinner, Frankel says, "It's just a ring."
So are there any marriage plans to speak of? Said Frankel: "Not that you should know about." -- Jeffrey SlonimBill Davila/Startraks; Lisa Wagner/Splash News
