The Woz’s Dancing Fan Base Continues Growing

Steve Wozniak has somehow wormed his way into America's heart.
After receiving a drubbing from the judges -- he scored a perfect 10… out of a possible 30 -- after his samba performance (which featured a break-dance move, "the worm") on Monday's Dancing with the Stars, he landed in last place and was expected to face elimination.
Whether it was a judging backlash (the audience audibly booed the judges for their harsh comments, including Bruno Tonioli's exclamation, "on your knees and beg for forgiveness!") or pro Woz sites like VoteWoz.com (and its similarly named Twitter account) that is keeping the Apple co-founder in the competition, one thing is certain: The Woz survived and lives to dance another week.
Following Monday's show, VoteWoz.com had more than 55,000 followers, according to CNN.com. Today, that number is just under 72,000. And the official Vote for Woz on ABC's 'Dancing With the Stars!' Facebook group is mobilizing techies (so far 2,819 members) to keep their man in the competition.
So while Carrie Ann Inaba may have likened Wozniak's worm move to that of a slug, it doesn't look like The Woz is leaving the ballroom just yet.
