It's official: Blair can kiss Yale au revoir!
We recently revealed that Nelly Yuki stole B's spot at the Ivy League school after someone ratted her out. And as some guessed, it was Blair's newest enemy, the teacher Rachel Carr!
When Rachel wasn't hooking up with Dan in the costume closet, she was sending Gossip Girl major dirt on Blair. And by the sound of it, Dan is quite the pillow talker because Rachel also knew about Serena getting accepted to Yale and filled the mysterious blogger in on that as well. Though Blair got the ultimate punishment, Rachel also lost -- her high school lover, Dan.
Quick question: Now that Rachel is heading back to the heartland, how long until Serena and Dan are back to making up and breaking up?
Speaking of breaking up, Nate and Vanessa were still trying to make their unlikely romance work. If it wasn't obvious before that the prince of the Upper East Side and the Brooklyn transplant had absolutely nothing in common, Monday's episode drove it home.
A jealous and immature Nate blew up on stage during the senior class performance of The Age of Innocence when he spied Vanessa watching from the front row with the older, more intelligent Broadway protégé director. After airing out his dirty laundry on stage, Nate broke up with Vanessa. But don't get too excited about the end of this ridiculous love affair, it wasn't long before Vanessa was back offering to watch ESPN with her ex.
Breathe a collective sigh of relief: Chuck is finally done with the secret society. But, how likely was it that Chuck would fall in love with a high-class hooker and then be out-smarted by one? If Elle's only point was to utter the line, "You have a good heart you should give it to someone who cares," sending Chuck back to Blair -- well, maybe it was worth it. -- Andrea DeSimone
