A torn knee meniscus benched her from this season's Dancing with the Stars, but now Access Hollywood host Nancy O'Dell is cheering from the sidelines for her replacement Melissa Rycroft.
Discussing Rycroft, who was dumped last week on TV by The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick, O'Dell says she wishes the former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader nothing but the best.
"I thought she did amazing," O'Dell said of Rycroft's Monday night Dancing performance in a call in to 104.3 FM's Valentine in the Morning. "I said to her, 'It took you two days to learn that? It took me two weeks to learn that!'" But she admits to sharing a twinge of jealously with fellow benched contestant Jewel (who was replaced by Girls Next Door star Holly Madison) over the outfits that their replacements wore.
"Jewel and I were both going like, 'They're both in our dresses, they're in our dresses too!'" said O'Dell.
Putting fashion aside, O'Dell said, "I'll root for her mostly because she's with Tony Dovolani. You get to know your partner so well. We were dancing for almost four weeks, six to eight hours a day - he became a member of my family."
O'Dell also joked "I feel like the jilted Bachelorette, kinda!" But she doesn't plan on being on the sidelines for ever.
Asked about her plans for next season, O'Dell said: "I put my bid in already, that's the plan… My knee will be fine -- my doctor told me it would be just like it was before. I hope so!" --Jessica Gold Haralson
