The second season of the hit Bravo show returns to the airwaves Feb. 17 (11 p.m. ET) with Alex McCord, Bethenny Frankel, Jill Zarin, LuAnn deLesseps, Ramona Singer and the new girl in town, Kelly Killoren Bensimon.
"Expect a lot of fun and a lot more drama," Frankel told PEOPLE at the season 2 premiere party held at New York's Gilt restaurant inside the Palace Hotel Wednesday. "I have serious, serious disagreements and audiences should expect a big meow. The fight is with someone unexpected."
Though Frankel won't reveal more about her new feud, fans of cat fights will witness an awkward confrontation between Zarin and McCord and her husband Simon van Kempen in the season's first episode. What do they argue about? Zarin dished to Cindy Adams about van Kempen, insulting him and telling the gossip columnist he drinks too much.
"The show does 100 percent edit me and the others accurately, even the bad stuff," Zarin said. "Viewers are just getting a shorten version of us, but it is really who we are."
Besides the big drama, audiences can expect the rest of the New York social climbers to be their quirky, "type A" selves -- but more evolved.
"In the first season, the show laid out who we are and now we as characters really develop, but we are still the same real women in different gift-wrapping with even more things going on," said Frankel.
With the start of season 2, it is a celebration but a bittersweet moment for Zarin. "It's so exciting but I start to get really sad and emotional because it means it's over. It's like a wedding, as soon as the big day comes, it's starting to end. But I'm trying to stay in the moment and take it all in." -- Paul ChiRob Rich/Everett Collection
