literally grew up before our eyes while competing on the Dancing with the Stars
. So it came as no surprise the 18-year-old Hannah Montana
star took his ouster like a man on Tuesday's results show.
In his farewell speech to the audience, Linley said, "Words can't even explain the true, amazing, growing, learning journey that I've had on the show."
Linley, who was on the verge of elimination three weeks in a row but made it through to the semifinal to reunite on Monday's show with his partner Julianne Hough
(who returned from appendectomy surgery
), also gave thanks to the legions of fans who kept him in the competition.
"The fans who kept me in this, the fan support that I feel when I go out," he said, adding, "and to know that maybe my dance can inspire someone to be happy or to want to dance or to bring entertainment to one person is just amazing."
With Linley out, the three couples moving on to next Monday's final are: Lance Bass
and Lacey Schwimmer, Brooke Burke
and Derek Hough
and Warren Sapp
and Kym Johnson
