Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice to Cross Over

Grey's Anatomy and its spin-off, Private Practice, will feature a multi-episode crossover story early next year, TVGuide.com reports.

Details are murky, but Kate Walsh's character, Dr. Addison Montgomery, has been confirmed to return to the Grey's set, as she did for one episode last spring. Conversely, characters from Grey's may appear on the spin-off show.

Grey's Anatomy is currently in its fifth season on ABC, while Private Practice debuted in Sept. 2007.
