Mary McDonnell to Join Grey’s Anatomy

It looks like Mary McDonnell is trading the Oval Office for a stint at Seattle Grace.

McDonnell, who plays President Laura Roslin on Battlestar Galactica, is joining Grey's Anatomy for a multi-episode guest arc, ABC has confirmed.

Though her character's identity remains a mystery for now, McDonnell, a two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe nominee, is no stranger to the Hollywood medical community: She was nominated for an Emmy for guest starring on ER in 2002.



News of McDonnell's casting was first reported by Battlestar Galactica fan site Galactica Sitrep.
