She's engaged! But to whom?
Georgia peach DeAnna Pappas will hand out her final rose to either Seattle single dad Jason Mesnick or Colorado snowboarder Jesse Csincsak on the season finale of The Bachelorette, which airs Monday (8 p.m. ET, on ABC).
"It came down to two really great men for me to chose from," Pappas told PEOPLE at the recent Men Tell All taping in Los Angeles. "It was a very difficult decision to make but in those final days I just knew which guy was the one I wanted to wake up with for the rest of my life and now having been hanging out and talking to him constantly, I know I made the right decision."
Weighing the pros and cons, Pappas talked to PEOPLE about her two final suitors:
On the right: "Jesse, from day one, continued to change my mind. When he got out of the limo on the first night, all I saw was the crazy exterior -- that loud coat, the pink shoelaces, the hair. But every time I sat down with him, I wanted more time. The turning point for him was really that day on the four wheelers. There was something about the way he rode that made him so hot to me. He is also a very loyal friend and sweet person. He has always been honest with me and he loves life. But he is also less settled than Jason and I am not sure he is at the same place in his life as I am. I don't know that he wants to give up some of his snowboarding time to cultivate a relationship yet."
On the left: "Jason was an open, loving, caring person from day one. He has a child and that doesn't bother me. I have a stepmother. I know I will be a good mother whether it is now or 10 years from now. He's one of those who is always willing to try new things -- he wants to try new food, new activities. He wants to travel all over the world. We have a lot of the same wants and needs in life. When he was around me, I felt like I was the only person in the room. He is a great listener. He is that man you know you can depend on. I have never had that. But Jason sometimes fails to show that fun side because he always has to be so responsible and serious as a parent. He built a wall around him after Ty's mom left and I'm not sure that is truly gone."
Thanks to her announcement on last week's special, we know Pappas has picked either Jesse or Jason and got engaged. And she couldn't be more thrilled that it's finally time to let the cat out of the bag.
"You have no idea how tough it has been to keep this secret. I got my happy ending several months ago, but couldn't tell anyone about it," she said. "Fans of the show really want to know. The family wants to know. And me and my guy really want to tell and celebrate publicly."
One guy who does know is host Chris Harrison, who promises a thrilling finale -- and a good match. "I have never seen DeAnna this happy. She is head over heels in love. It's one of the best proposals the show has ever had," he told PEOPLE. "I won’t be surprised at all if there is a wedding within the year." --Carrie Bell
