TV Roundup: Janet Jackson Gets Real

Janet Jackson will develop a reality show for MTV in which she mentors wannabe singers and dancers. Network censors are already on the alert for wardrobe malfunctions.

Baby Borrowers debuts Wednesday (NBC, 9 p.m. ET). The reality show follows five teen couples living adult lives by setting up house, getting a job, and becoming caregivers (beginning with infants and ending with senior citizens) over the course of three weeks. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag should totally do it!

Simon Cowell will produce One Chance, a movie that tells the story of Paul Potts, the opera-singing cell phone salesman who won Britain's Got Talent last year and became a national hero. Sanjaya Malakar's hoping for his movie, Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

Speaking of hair... The season 2 premiere of the Bravo's haircutting competition Shear Genius airs Wednesday (10 p.m. ET) with a new batch of contestants battling it out for a $100,000 prize and a chance to style hair for a future issue of Allure magazine. We bet Christian Siriano (with his hot tranny hair!) will be a guest judge.

Rosie Perez and Puerto Rican singer Carlos Ponce are joining the cast of Lipstick Jungle. Ponce is set to play sexy contractor Rodrigo, who will give Joe Bennett (Andrew McCarthy) a run for his money. Perez will play a feisty publicist -- or a feisty anything, really. Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage
