Simon Cowell’s First Kiss

Simon Cowell got a big surprise Wednesday during the call-in portion of
American Idol's results show, when a woman identified as Tara, 46, from Petaluma, Calif., asked the judge, "Which of these two performances is the most memorable for you, your kiss with Paula Abdul or your first kiss with me ... when you were nine years old?"
"This is Tara Miller, right?" Simon asked.
Indeed, it was. Tara, whose last name is now McDonald-Smith, spoke with PEOPLE later that night and talked about the kiss.
"He'd taken me to the bottom of his garden," said Tara. "It was very cute and it was very memorable. We were just kids. We didn't know what we were doing!"
