My Name Is Earl returns April 3 following the writers' strike hiatus, and it's bringing Paris Hilton with it. The heiress makes a cameo on the NBC sitcom, coming to Earl (played by Jason Lee) during a fevered dream.
Hilton has mostly been keeping to film roles like 2006's National Lampoon's Pledge This! and the recent The Hottie and the Nottie, but she happened to fit a part Executive Producer Greg Garcia had in mind.
"When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role," Garcia said in a statement. "But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton."
