TV Roundup: NBC Wants Selma for New Comedy

• NBC wants Selma Blair to star opposite Molly Shannon in the new show based on the hit Australian comedy series Kath & Kim, which focuses on the dysfunctional relationship between Kath (Shannon) and her daughter Kim (Blair). Hilarious Australian-accented jokes not included.

• When he was asked to cut his performance short, Ringo Starr walked off the set of Live with Regis and Kelly. But he's a Beatle, so he walked off shaking his hair saying, "Yeah, yeah, yeah!"

• Daytime soap operas are running out of pre-strike scripts. So, the networks are resorting to episodes written by non-union members -- who have no idea how to write about missing babies, evil twins and ever-lasting comas.

• New game show Moment of Truth premieres tonight. In the show, contestants are strapped to a lie detector and forced to truthfully answer difficult questions, like, "Do you find any of your wife's best friends sexually attractive?" or "Who farted?" Von Holden/WireImage
