You asked -- and we listened! As the American Idol
auditions hit Dallas, judges and viewers were faced with a whole new round of kooky hopefuls. Our favorite -- and yours too (if your comments mean anything
) -- was Renaldo Lapuz
, who stunned the judges with his over-the-top look and his "original composition" called "We're Brothers Forever," dedicated to -- who else? -- judge Simon Cowell
. While Cowell looked nonplussed, even a little terrified, many of you took to Lapuz's musical abilities. One reader, Jasmine, told us: "That song is STILL in my head this morning. We were singing it in the car on the way to work." So, we called him up at home in Reno, Nev. and Lapuz, who also writes songs in Tagalog, was eager to sing us another original song. This one's called "Here I Am Alone" -- and he belts it out with equal emotion. Listen below. Tell us: What you think of his other song? How does it stack up to his ode to Simon?
