Star Wars Fan Christina Tolisano Sings Again

She looked like she beamed in from a galaxy far, far away -- but Christina Tolisano, 25, just wanted to go to Hollywood. The American Idol hopeful -- and self-professed dork -- talked to PEOPLE about her ill-fated audition on Tuesday's Idol premiere. "I thought my audition sucked, actually," Tolisano said, laughing. "It could have been a lot better. But I had fun."

Most will remember her, of course, as the contestant who showed up in a Princess Leia costume, showing an enthusiastic love of Star Wars. The science fiction series also guides her as a musician, she explained.

"There are two songs I wrote inspired by Star Wars," she says on the phone. "One's called 'Princess With a Gun,' a little punk ditty about Princess Leia. And the other's called 'Flight of a Broken Heart,' which is about Padmé (Queen Amidala) from Episode 3." Although Tolisano declined to share her own songs, you can discover more about her on her MySpace page.

She did, however, take us up on our offer to let her take another shot at her Idol audition song, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." Listen below.
