The View host Sherri Shepherd will star in a sitcom for The CW about a woman whose life is turned upside down when she learns that her husband had an affair and that the earth is round.

• CBS soap Guiding Light is revamping its format and will be shot with tiny hand-held cameras, mimicking the reality-show look of The Hills and Laguna Beach. So this time, when they have, like, a story about an evil twin that was cloned in a lab, it'll look, like, totally real.

Aida Turturro, Debi Mazar and Karen Duffy are pitching a talk show that's described as a New Jersey take on The View, and would focus on solving issues that face women. Like, what to do when there's a Bon Jovi concert the same night as a Springsteen concert?

• It's a meeting of the minds! Carmen Electra is the first celeb guest to appear on the premiere episode of NBC's Phenomenon (Oct. 24, 8 p.m. ET). The show's premise: mentalist Uri Geller and Mindfreak star Criss Angel will set out to find the next great mentalist. We're guessing Electra is there to daze and confuse the finalists.
