Dancing‘s First Casualty: Supermodel Josie Maran

Attention all supermodels: Do not go on Dancing With The Stars. Like Paulina Porizkova and Rachel Hunter before her, Josie Maran hardly got to make an impression before being eliminated from the competition. Last night, the Sports Illustrated hottie earned herself the distinction of being the first contestant to get voted off season five of DWTS. Maran's foxtrot was lambasted by the judges on Monday night and earned her the lowest score of the week. When she learned of her fate, Maran didn't seem surprised.
"Thanks for being honest," she joked with the show's three judges before offering a heartfelt sentiment to the audience. "This has changed my life," Maran said. "I have the dancing bug." After the show, Maran admitted to PEOPLE she had hoped for more time with parter Alec Mazo. "I started to believe after watching the pros dance last night that next week I would be as good as them. When you look at them, it looks so easy when they are doing it. But it's not easy at all," she said. "I just had a lot of learning to do. I wish I had gotten more time with Alec."
Honestly, was Maran worse than super-tan national treasure Wayne Newton or bionic billionaire Mark Cuban? –Monica Rizzo
