It's Almost Official: American Idol to Unveil Judges for New Season

Nobody has sung a note yet on TV, and American Idol is already set to announce next season’s big winners – for seats at the judging table.

After weeks of speculation about who would replace Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi, the show will announce the new judges Sept. 22 at an event hosted by Ryan Seacrest in Los Angeles.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler previously said he will "probably" be sitting at the judges' table, while sources tell PEOPLE Jennifer Lopez sealed a $12 million deal.

Shania Twain, Harry Connick Jr., Elton John and Chris Isaak have also been rumored to be possibilities.
