Joseph "McG" McGinty Nichol has a new angel in his life.

The Charlie's Angels director, 42, is dating actress Bridget Moynahan, a source tells PEOPLE. "They're really happy," the source says.

Moynahan split with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in 2006 while she was pregnant with their now 3-year-old son.

The new couple was spotted at the Costa Mesa Wood Racquet Classic, a charity tennis tournament in California, where Moynahan, 39, cheered her new beau while he played.
